Fast Spiral dances are exhilarating, but can be a bit dangerous for folks with weak joints or bones. Participants on the end bear the accumulated force of the speed of everyone in front of them, and can sometimes feel whip-cracked back and forth. Fortunately, when this happens, one person typically lets go of another, and the line behind them continues the dance as a separate subset of the larger dance line.

Labyrinthine dances are hand-to-hand and linear, with frequent angular turns. Sometimes the High Priestess leading the dance dives under random sections of the line, intricately weaving the dancers in, through, and around themselves.

Snake dances are also hand-to-hand and linear, but involve making graceful, undulating waves with long, sinuous chains of participants. Snake dances can be lurid or innocently provocative, depending on the mood and ritual purpose. Both Labyrinthine and Snake dances cease to be linear the moment folks come back together in a concluding Circle dance.
